Klimperei & GNG met in real life a few years ago during Music for Toys festival. Since then, they have created a character, called Alfred. Scraps of life of that fictionnal character are the basis of the 13 songs of a vinyl album to be released at the beginning of October on the label MonsterK7. This collaboration is the result of the confrontation of two visions : Klimperei’s instrumental toy music and GNG’s electro DIY experiments.

Dozens of albums, prestigious collaborations (Frank Pahl, Pierre Bastien, David Fenech, Madame Patate, Dominique Grimaud, Voxfazer, Palo Alto, Don Simon y Telefunken...), music for dance, theâtre, television, advertising and a very few public appearances : Klimperei, founded in 1985, is defined today as something lazily swirling at the junction of toy music, experimental, prog and minimal.

GNG

Founded in 1997, GNG is a French electronica-pop duo. These two old friends create “home made” songs on which sound collages mix with other more synthetic textures.

MONSTERK7, handmade label since 2006
Likes unusual musical instruments, unclassifiable music, Aime les instruments insolites, les musiques inclassables, bastringue folk and electro which is not played in nightclubs. The label is also the organizer of Music for Toys festival (www.musicfortoys.com)
