Amarcord di quelli storici: a metà anni '90 per un certo periodo fui sostenitore di Snowdonia, ma di quella originale che era questione esclusiva di Pustianaz, non quella con i Maisie che avrebbe preso il sopravvento a seguire.
Il motivo era lo stesso che mi spingeva a comprare i demo, ovvero che gli oggetti costavano pochissimo, ma qui c'era un vero e proprio catalogo e mi piaceva una serie di circostanze: la sotterraneità delle proposte che incuriosiva il mio giovane orecchio, la passione che il buon Marco trasmetteva e così finii per farmi un po' di quella lista.
Non trovai nessun capolavoro e non ascolto nulla di ciò da tempo immemore (in maggior parte erano materiali estremamente ostici, seppur abbastanza originali), compreso questa cassettina che invece ripesco con molto piacere. Deleted era un progetto francese che, scopro oggi, faceva testa ad un chitarrista, tal Christophe Petchanatz, che ha durato più di dieci anni nell'underground europeo più profondo. Quanto al contenuto, trattavasi di materiale molto interessante: c'è l'influenza della new-wave più sperimentale (i primi 23 Skidoo su tutti, ma a tratti direi persino i This Heat), con iniezioni di elettronica antidiluviana, grossa enfasi sulle percussioni, flauti deliranti, una chitarra aspra che entrava a tratti ma sapeva prendere le redini. Un sound astratto e fisico al tempo stesso, dipanato in pezzi relativamente brevi e sintetici. Progetto da ripescare: Pustianaz aveva messo a segno un bel colpo.
